PETITION NOTICE TO: LEGISLATORS of The Monroe County Legislature

Please put me/our organization on record as opposed to Monroe County mandating forced notification for lawn care. The law is undesirable, unworkable, a nuisance, and not needed in our community. Homeowners (do-it-yourselfers) should not be mandated to put up countless signs! Commercial applicators incur costly burn when trying to notify neighbors first (two days in advance) before treating customer lawns. This makes for intolerable notification requirements due to weather and other uncontrollable circumstances. This will hinder timely and appropriate service treatments. Results can have troublesome consequences: environmental landscape appearances may not be so pleasing, and thus real estate property values suffer; and rising health / safety concerns due to more pollen, injurious insects and diseases from poorly maintained turf! With a County facing a financial crunch, do not spend my tax dollars for this purpose.
